Bang on,my old 200tdi auto conversion has done a bit over 308000 miles since getting rid of hardy spicer joint for donut,on donut 2 only due to being soaked in ep90 oil.Diesel auto easy on jointsQuote:

I had the same issues when i got my disco. Was all good and well until I put a 2in lift in and put some mud tyres on with some grip.
After my first trip off road it was knackered. I put a second hand one in and that got chewed out aswell.
4 bolt pinion flange is the only way to go.
