    Not too big D1 Flares?

Anyone know where to get some minimal sized flares for a 4 door D1? There are a lot of pics and threads out there of Flexi Flares for large wheels and tyres, but I am looking for some that would allow for just a slightly wider offset and tyres. Black ABS would be OK, and I don't mind the look of the stock D2 ones. Thanks.

funny I've been thinking of getting a set of DII flares as they are more subtle that the after market ones. I dont want mine to look obviously modified

Apparently the D2 ones don't fit D1. At least that's what I was told - is that wrong?

The D1 and D2 wheel arches are different shapes, so D2 flares wouldn't fit easily.

You know the D1 also came with factory flares on some models.

You can get them from suppliers in the UK and Ebay UK has a few:

LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 5 DOOR WHEEL ARCH PROTECTORS on eBay (end time 23-Nov-10 19:17:21 GMT)

There are 3 and 5 door ones and versions for cars with black plastic body mouldings or not, they aren't very cheap though.

These factory flares with only give you a centimetre or two more width.

you have to do a cut for the big flares anyway - the way I see it, the DII flares aren't quite as savage a cut to the doors etc. I want to widen the arch but not ready to cut half the body away upwards
