    Chinese Heads

    We have some Chinese made 300TDi cylinber heads for sale over here. Has anyone any experience of these. I am not looking for a new head just curious about them.

    No experience with heads thank goodness. They will have to be cheap to have you take the chance.

    I guess you would need to weigh up the extra costs you would incur by replacing a head a second time if it turned out to be dodgy. Such as new gaskets/bolts or extra labour charges if you're not doing the replacement yourself.

    If the price difference is not big enough to take those things into account, I wouldn't bother for such a big purchase.

    There is plenty of quality stuff coming out of china. Some of the quality brands have their stuff made in china, the quality just comes down to the materials that went into them.
