run a new wire, therefore you can make a switch to over ride the reverse light when you want the light to stay on...

and you can buy those light holders for like 20-30 bucks if you hunt around..

For a switch, I bought one (plus the labelled switch cover) from ARB for $12...the guy even gave me a diagram of how/what to wire up. For the light, I bought a dual halogen Narva for about $100, which can be wired in a few ways depending on purpose.

I'm yet to wire it up or install, because I need to design a mount (want to have and HF mount on the same bracket), and my mate hasn't had time to get the welder out. I'd be VERY interested to see what designs for mounts you have in mind mate!

    Hi dullbird,
I used a 3 poll switch (ON-OFF-ON) for mine. I can have it come on with reverse lights or turn it on as a work light. The center setting means that it can be turned off no matter where the power feed comes from. I have mounted the switch on the window switch panel is.

    Cheers

Lariens I only paid $95 for two high qualiity LED lights that feel like hey are built to last...

It pays to keep an eye out o the forum as mine where bought in a group buuy with other members.

when you buy in a group buy heavy discounts are usually a result. for example on the group buy for wheeel arch flares I got some landed at my door for 260bux not bad considering to buy in oz at the time they were 660

When I get around to wiring mine up, I'll be running a new wire up from the second battery so that when I run it as a work light it won't be running from the start battery.

I also plan to use a couple of relays so the lights only switch on when in reverse with the headlights on... or ... when switched manually as work/camp light.

I posted the details of doing it this way ages ago ... might go find it in the archives again.
