Thread: Dash lights dont work so good

No I didn't see that thread. I did a search and I couldn't see anything but that is the problem I am having.
All of the lights that back light the dash don't work. I have checked
every bulb and they are all good and I checked every fuse in the dash on the driver’s side and in the engine bay

Discovery's all ways keep you busy.....

wires all ok?

That is the next step.
I'm going to have a look through the rave cd and see if there is a wiring diagram for the dash and start checking wires.
I guess I was hoping that the problem was more common and there was a easy fix that I had over looked.
If I fix it I will post it up.

Looking at the wires they all seem good and all the connections seem tight.

I had the same problem. From memory have a look at the rear globe in the bumper, the tail lamp, Drivers side I think this is on the same circuit as the dash and when blown it stuffs up the dash lights.
I suppose it's one way of telling if your bumper lights are working.

Ha ha. Now we are getting some where.
I went out and had a look and my right hand tail light was out. When I changed it I found it still didn't work. Checked the bulb and it's fine.
I then checked the front right Parker bulb and found that it was blown. When I change that one I still have no Parkers on the right hand side of the discovery.
So I now know the problem is not in the dash but need to work out why the right hand side parkers don't work.

I know that this started out about dash lights. But......

Update
Now the park lights on the left hand side do not work.
So now none of the Park lights work at all.
All the fuse that I know of are fine and all the bulbs are working.
So now I'm lost. Any help welcome.
