    92 3.5 v8I distributor

I need to replace the old dizzy on my 3.5 efi.
    Keeps burning out modules etc.
It misses, runs uneven, cuts out. When left to cool down it runs fine but
then after a few K's trouble starts over again !!!
So far have spent over $700 trying to fix.
Any suggestions on a replacement ?

    Tar.
    Robert.

Robert, The dizzy just gives a signal to the module to fire. It is hard to see how it could cause it to burn out.
ON THE OTHER HAND a coil that demands too much from a module will cause it to burn out maybe quickly. Do you have the original coil or an aftermarket one?
There are a number of threads here about changing the module to a Bosch PIM which is more robust and can tolerate different coils so have a search and see.
But IMHO until I am corrected I cannot see that the dizzy would have a major role.
    Regards Philip A

    Thank you.
Do you have any sort of a kit that I could purchase ?

Wreckers and such are few and far between here in Mackay.

    Thanks once again.

Well, THANKS to bee - utey, I now have the Bosch coil - amp setup installed. It is far more responsive and seems to rev more freely.
Wish I had known about it $700 ago !!!

    Thanks Mate.
