    Clutch master cylinder leaking Disco1

    Hi all.

What seals the clutch master cylinder reservoir to the body of the clutch master cylinder?

    This is for a MY95 Disco1 V8.

I have a service kit STC1126 but it has nothing in it to seal this part. I bought this years ago just in case when I did the brake master cylinder.

Mine is weeping in that location and I don't want to pull it out until I know I can do something about it and have the parts on hand.

    Thanks

I know Power Brakes in SA have reservoir seals for the D1 brake master , probably they would have the reservoir seal for the clutch. They are very good.

Thanks I'll try them on Monday.

The kit I got from Paddocks for the brake master cylinder had the reservoir rubbers in it.

If you mean the rear master cylinder rear reservoir seal, yes. I keep one on hand now just in case. They can fail by just pushing gently on the reservoir when you take the cap off. About $15 each the last time I bought one.

I never changed mine. I didn't want to go pulling it apart until I had the parts on hand.

I just topped it up at the time and it is still full so haven't worried about it.
It will probably die at a really inappropriate time now!
