Remove the IAC valve on the back of the plenum and clean (Carb/Throttle Cleaner) spring and valve (cone) and the seat in the plenuum, make sure the 3 allen bolts are tight first, they have a habit of working loose, Regards Frank.

so iam thinking steper motor with car runing seating in the dirveway a/c on and on gas hunting from 750 down to 550 a/c of idleing at 750 down to 700 put on petroll a/c runing at 750 a/c of runing at 750 so how do you cut the gas in to the steper motor is there someone in perth that knows about land rover and gas

Have you adjusted up the base idle yet? You need a 3/16 inch allen key, insert it in the hole on top of the throttle body, unscrew it until you get a smooth idle.

My thoughts also .... But I recon a bit more needs to be done, before touching or adjusting it.

I assume the butchered wiring is at the MAF sensor plug. It is correct but sloppy. The new red wire provides constant power to the MAF while the injector power is cut. Just tidy it up, don't reconnect the brown/orange wire.

The mixer is OK but suboptimal. It can be as big as 46mm bore and run correctly. The 46mm mixer I use is not listed for the LR engine, it fits a Nissan 4.2EFI. Needs a slight remachining to fit.
