Dry cement powder works very well; you may need several applications.

Contrary to what some people say on this forum, there is nothing "normal" about Land Rovers leaking oil. They either have a car that has been neglected, or they can't be bothered getting it fixed. All leaks can be fixed - get Dave to help you.

My Discovery also leaked at the engine and gearboxes, because the so-called mechanic who stripped the engine for a warranty job, put it together again with old gaskets Give the engine and gearboxes a good wash with degreaser and water and take it for a short run to find where the leaks are.

Not only do you not want to be trailing oil all the way to Cape York, you don't want to be stuck half way either, for want of spending a halfpenny-worth-of-tar on the machine.
