Hi Guys I have trashed my very long-suffering shockies on potholes in South East Queensland. What are the part numbers for std shox for a 1997 Tdi? I usually use Land Rovers own on the basis that I was advised they are oil-filled and designed for the job, I am not sure how long these have lasted but 90% of my use is on-road, so I am not after anything special. There is a bewildering array out there!

Many thanks guys, I have narrowed it down to Landrover's own, Boge or Bilstein, there are some great orices for Bistein in the US, so I'm tempted! Now I have the part numbers I can get ordering

Not to confuse you anymore, but I bought a set of Koni Heavy Tracks from England, very cheap and very good quality shocks. Landed here in Oz, they cost me less than a cheap set of local wannabe shocks.

See my comments re Boge's in thread I posted. They seem to be a good option so far for the sort of use you decribe.
