Bought a Tdi disco, what else should i check?

I have taken ownership of a 98 disco tdi S manual with only 107000kms on it.
It all seems in good nick, i have given it the usual full clean down, oil and filter change, fuel and air filters. Also greased the tailshafts. Brakes are all new.
Is there anything in particular i should be checking, replacing etc? (BTW this is my first LR).
Two things i have noticed that need fixing is the rear swaybar rubbers are all pulled out (probably due to the 2 inch OME lift kit in it.) Should i make a bracket to drop the mounts to take stress off them?
Also looks like it might have done a rear main seal. I will probably put a new clutch in it whilst the box is out. ARE aftermarket clutches the go in these things?
    Any help appreciated
    Cheers

Great car, great km's and should or could be last car you ever have.
Check when or if timing belt ever been done.If not sure get it changed now as it can save your whole motor.
Timing change intervals are 80,000 km's.
Also check if it has original coolant tank which is black, they split and you will do your engine in. Ouch.
Get a new plastic one or aluminium.
Also check the radiator and fluid and make sure its not blocked and if in doubt get it flushed or rodded.
Also definately get a low water alarm, it can save you many headaches and $$$.

If getting new clutch or doing it yourself, parts are cheap from turners in UK or local with a hefty margin but as said, local.
Don't forget to machine flywheel once out or clutch will chudder.

Other things, check turbo intercooler hoses for collapse, better still get new silicone ones, and check or clean out intercooler.
Better still get a higher flow one for more performance.

Last, you can always do Diesel gas for even more poke and torque at little expense.

Thanks for the quick reply big guy. Where is the best place to buy parts for these things, im in NSW. Are you better off going aftermarket for things like clutches etc?

Also ive read a bit about front driveshaft failures. would my model be included in this problem?

    cheers

Also with radiator, check for build up between radiator and air con condenser,They block up regularity.
I'm with big guy change coolant tank if black and fit low water alarm.

Do you know when the timing belt was done?

Check hose from turbo to injector pump, They run behind engine and I have seen a few damaged.

With rear main leak is it coming from the wading plug hole in flywheel housing or running down the back of the sump?

Do i just buy another coolant tank from LR or could you point me in the direction of where to get an aftermarket one? Not to sure about the oil leak, will have to give it a good pressure clean and monitor.

Save yourself future drama and fit a low coolant alarm asap, best money you can spend.

    all the above suggestions
also check to see if you have plastic plugs in the top of the radiator and thermostat housing, these can fail and cause you grief replace them with brass
