Sage words from both Philip and Angus.
I should have added on my post that as I was in Darwin and good landrover mechanics were few and far between so I paid a lot more than if I was south.
While mine has cost down here at least it was money spent once to get things fixed.

Yep for sure, it was Range Rover Automotive on Rooks Rd in Vermont. Highly recommended I was very happy with them.

Mattski, whereabouts in Melbourne are you, so you be lined up with someone who has no axe to grind and can give you specialist advice ? Before you get rid of the vehicle, at least find out about its problems. You may well find, as others have wisely said, that the problems are few and inexpensive to repair.
