    WHICH RELAY?

    Could somebody please tell me which relay is the Starter Relay and where can it be found on a 1994 Discovery Series I 3.9?

    The workshop manual tells me it is the one with black connection located in the drivers side footwell. I have looked at both the drivers and passengers side footwell. Lots of relays in both sides, yellow ones green ones, and a couple of after market ones (black). Non with black connections.

    Make things worse, my model disco is a bit of a mongrel, has a mix of both pre '94 and post '94 wiring.

    The one that clicks when you hit the starter...hear it/feel it test.

    But if there is no click, then look for the base which has brown/white, brown/red, black/orange and white/red cables attached.

    I think this is the one.

    Dont know what manual your quoting ? Black connections ? WTF ?
