Thread: Locking Issue

Hi, been lurking for a while and getting lots of info but cannot find anything on a problem I'm having with my 96 disco's central locking.

I have to lock the door twice with key(no remotes), it unlocks itself the first time but the second time locks the car, however the red immobiser dash light stays constantly on(not flashing).

At the same time this issue started a beeping sound occurs when i have the keys in the ignition and ignition switched off.

Thought it may be a door switch but the drivers one and bonnet switch have been missing for a while.

Anyone had a similar problem or any ideas?

i have the same problem and i bought new door lock spings from the uk, though i havnt had time to fit them they say that they will fix the problem

Cheers, let me know how you go. Do you know how the springs cause the issue?
