    Smile FOUND IT!!!

I finally found the oil leak that I have been looking for for the last 6 months.. Turns out it was on the front breather hose on the 300tdi.. The ***** of a thing was on the inside of the breather hose that faces the block at the bottom of the hose were you can't see it!!! So, I am off to pick up a new hose first thing tomorrow morning! I think the real problem was the dodgy hose clamps that the previous owner has used! It looks like it has chewed through the hose.. Oh well. Fix it all tomorrow.. No more leaks on the drive way... Well for now anyway

Well i started at the top of the head and worked my way down.. I had:

    leaky fuel return lines

    leaking oil air separator

    and now this one...

this is the worst. The hole was about 10mm long and about 3mm wide

I've got a leaky original vacuum pump and I was enquiring about a Wabco one from a popular UK distributor, he said we don't sell the Wabco ones anymore due to a 20% out of box failure rate. He is selling the Britpart ones for 49 pounds (works out $117 shipped) so i'm thinking of getting one of those. Only trouble is Britpart get a bagging on here so i'm not sure of the quality. I also thought it was the rear main leaking due to the oil dripping on the driveshaft and getting thrown around the bell housing etc.
