    Engine Temp when off road

    Hello,
I had the joy of 4WD in the Wombat state forest last weekend pulled over and cooked a few snags on the BBQ, very relaxing, but enough of that.

I noticed that when driving up there on the highway that the temp gauge was sitting on 1/2 which is ok but when in the forest 4WDing the temp dropped down to cold is this normal?

    NO
It's not normal for the temp to drop like that,
at a guess it sounds like your thermostat is stuck open, unless you have a problem with the sender unit or the gauge.

If it takes a long time to get to normal temp from cold then i'd be looking at the thermostat.
