does anyone have a source
for the large upper o-ring in the fuel sedimentor for a 95 300tdi, or can I use some kind of sealant like gasket sealant in its place?
got it apart at the mome to clean it out and the old one looks pretty worn.thanks

Buy a CAV 296 fuel filter. It will have all the O-rings you will need ( these filters are very cheap and available just about anywhere). If you want you can replace the bolt with a longer one and remove the center peice of the sediment trap and the whole filter will fit.

thanks i have thought about that and even have a cav unit sitting in the shed, but i like my cars to be stock standard and unmodified, just looking for the o-ring

most dynotune joints have about every size and variety of o-ring you could ever think of for a few cents each

Any truck parts or farm machinery dealer has them by the gross.
