you can tow it no problems - just put both the gearbox and the transfer gearbox into neutral.
make sure the key is in the ignition so that the sterring lock does not engage.
Also, you must not tow with either front or rear wheels off the ground.

Gday folks, I am new to the Land Rover forum and to be honest, am still yet to buy my Disco. I'm seeking some feedback from existing owners on preferred engine options. I have around $25-35k to spend and am thinking a TDV6 D3 - hard to find with less than 200,000 kms. A mate has a D2 v8 and is swearing to me any other option is craziness!
Any thoughts on TDiesel vs v6 unleaded motor in the D3 and should i listen to the mate and pocket the extra cash and stick to a series 2?
Hey all.
A bit of an update.
I took the vehicle to Land Rover, It turned out it was the throw out bearing but the main shaft of the gearbox was gone so was the place it goes in the transfer case.
After much delay and plenty of money I finally have it back. The rego ran out a week before i got it back though.
Thought i would update you on what was going on.
