Which buttons for which windows in your Disco?

Bit of a silly question but I thought I'd ask anyway because I have two Discos now (as I just bought one and am trying to sell the other) and both have an opposite configuration for the electric windows. ie. On one the top two buttons in the centre console are for the front windows and on the other it's the bottom two buttons on the centre console for the front windows.

Do they just flip a coin during production or would this be due to some re-wiring in one of these cars?

Just curious which buttons do which windows on all your mighty Discos?

The Series I Disco I owned had the front windows operated from the top switches and the Series II Disco that I now own has the front windows operated from the bottom switches.

I haven't bothered but I guess it would be simple enough to reposition the switches if you so desired. Every time I try to operate the front windows on the Series II and there is some junk in front of the switch, I think I should get around to moving them to the top position ............................. one day I'll get around to it.

We had quite a few customers request a change in switch orientation - they'd become so used to the old way that the new car HAD to be the same way too .

when I had my dash out I swapped the switches around as I thought that the front ones would have been used much more than the rear ones - they work fine, but I must say I am so used to the old set up that almost every time I go to open my window I open the rear first, I am going physically swap them as well when I get around to it.

My D2 is fronts down the bottom

My D1 was fronts up top...

When the D2 joined the family I swapped the D1 plugs around so they were the same...

Easy to swap to what ever configuration you want, when I got my D2 I was forever opening the back windows being automatic reaction after coming from D1.
Still turn on the wipers on my wife's falcon when I indicate, so used to the indicator stalk on the other side

Haha good so it's not just me going a little bit crazy, I definitely prefer the front windows on the top buttons.

I swapped the awitches around so that the bottom or furtherst to the front ones represented the front windows. Also they are easier to push as the top ones and hence I swapped them.
Its easy to change back, just pop the fake timber cover and pop the switches out. They are all new btw as one played up so I changed them all.

    Cheers
