Thread: Brakes and tyre size

I have a 1997 V8 automatic Disco with 31 inch tyres, should this adversely affect my braking or is it something else?
Especially in low range it is 2 feet on the brake pedal to pull it up. Rotors are solids and there is plenty of meat on the pads.
Could this possibly be a vacuum issue?

I have a 1998 300Tdi auto with 31 inch tyres, and the brakes are pretty strong.

Do you have much brake pressure in the pedal? Might pay to check whether you have a big oil leak coming from under the brake vacuum pump, or maybe the system needs bleeding.
