Which Perkins engine does it have?
It was common engine to put into Series 3's and Range Rovers. Two types.
I had a Perkins in my series 3....was VERY noisy!! But had done thousands of miles and still had loads of torque. It was one of the first engines made of that model. I rang Perkins to get a new lidt pump. They asked for the engine number. I told them the number and they told me I was wrong...not enough numbers...I told them that it was the only number on the engine....when they checked their records they found it was one of the first....

The 4-182 was a common swap. I put one in a Rangie. 3 litre with all gear timing case. Good engine. Out of a Mazda truck, T3000 I think it was.
Landie dealer in Brissie near the Hospital made the kits.
