roadworthy / upgrades...
hi there, in the process of getting my 91, 3door roadworthy and needed a little advice on where to get a few things?
im after a new exhaust - bigger if possible
extractors to go with exhaust
a console? - apparantly it didnt come with one but looks like one can clip in
a glovebox - doesnt have one at all
ignition shroud / fusebox cover
rear quarter, red... (unless it can be fixed)
next bits would be a bigger air intake
lift kit - and gaurds cut to fit 32's?
new bull bar - got quoted from arb $2500 - someone told me to try ironman (opinions?)
cheers

Hi bgfnbr,
TRS in Lonsdale, SA have a large range of spares, trim etc. The freight isn't that bad, speak to Ian or Phil they are very helpful. MHO others may vary, I can only tell you based on my own experience. They've not let me down to date and I've given them some challenges.

HI bgfnbr
Any exhaust place will do a good exhaust including extractor's and it's cheaper than most other cars as they have no cats. mine had extractor's straight through 2.5" pipe you can hear it here [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4gDhZNa-hQ]tuff landrover discovery attempts steep hill climb - YouTube[/ame] it now has a muffler and is much better you can hear yourself think.
as for the center console i haven't seen one that clip's in but you can change it for one that has a center console (if you can find one cheap)
there is no glove box as the air con is behind the panel, there's no room at all
as far as a bull bar shop around you can get them cheap or you could get one second hand, or if you like the tubeular look xrok make one which's sell's for $1000.
you can try car busters in brooklyn they are a landrover wreckers and they are very helpful in there or you have les richmond in thomastown be careful he talk's a lot of s#!^ but has realy good products check out there website Les Richmond Automotive

(cant watch the youtube vid while at work
but will have a look at home)
british off road have been pretty good, got a few bits and bobs from them and pretty quickly too
