I ended up going rubber hose all the way to the cooler and did away with the temp sensor and used a digital one instead. I also put a bigger P38 cooler in. Got the local Enzed guy to silver solder some push-on on fittings to the existing pipes, no leaks since.

As a sizable amount of fluid is retained in the torque convertor, the only way of refreshing this, is by running fresh fluid in, then dumping this and filling with another lot of fresh fluid, but not with the full amount needed for a original fill up, as shown in the owners manual, as a lesser amount is now required.

I've got a D2 and have just replaced the auto sump with one off a D1 so I now have an auto dipstick (hooray!). However, the dipstick /filler tube runs along the transmisison oil cooler pipes and might rub, which makes me a tad nervous. Hoses might be the solution here.

I still have the metal pipes from the gearbox to the front of the motor (below alternator) but from there on I have used the hose and discarded the metal pipe sections.

Cut a piece of rubber tube with a larger diam, about two inch long. Cut it length wise and push it over the dipstick tube and slide it in between the hoses and the tube. Fasten in place with zip-ties. Open a can of beer and enjoy your handiwork :wasntme:Quote:
