    Sorry I've been away

I priced a heap but finally settled on a BritPart from Rover Parts in Vic and it is working a treat. I intend to go up to the Hunter valley early dec with the Jayco on the back, that will be the test Ha Ha

FWIW, I just had mine recorred rather than replaced as a few radiator mobs all told me a recorred unit (with australian made core) is better than a new import. I also got 2 years warranty on the recore as opposed to 1 year on a new unit.

Warranty isn't much help on the edge of the French line... I agree with recoring the original, at least the original brass tanks and cooler fittings and coil are up to the task. ALL the aftermarket ones I have come across are seriously substandard in the strength department, and one in particular with plastic tanks had external dimensions larger than OE so that when you attempt to fit the bolts through the top plate they would screw straight down into the tanks

The price becomes irrelevent when you see this sort of debacle

I have an ally core rad on my 130. So far so good, but I'll be interested to see how if fairs in the long run. Plus it doesn't *quite* get as warm here as it does over there.. When Britpart changed to a 2 year warranty on all parts they changed the radiator from brass to ally. They must have had a reason to do so..

    Time will tell.

It was, but it arrived early and I slept in and missed it. Oh well. Maybe next year.
