Heaps of room for two mufflers you just run the canted, don't go big though, you will loose torque, 1 3/4 should be fine, I noticed a lose when going from single 2.5 to twin, but that was a 351 Windsor and I was going to fit a roots type supercharger, hence large system, 2" would of been good naturally aspirated

But twins sound so much deeper and just better, no question!

Just have to decide on the exhaust when I gen3 this p38, twin 2.5 maybe 3, but I'm hoping to fit an intercooled eaton m122

Definately have to do something now. Took it to work last night for better access into rougher terrain and bingo off goes the muffler. Has anyone ever driven from Laverton to Pakenham in a V8 disco running straight pipes? Lets just say my ears are still ringing after shaking the walls of the burnley tunnel.
    It did sound tough though

New exhaust coming wednesday. going to stick with a single system for now to save some $$$ but going 2 1/4 pipe with a single muffler so it should sound a heap better than standard. And they are tucking it up higher so i dont destroy this one (fingers crossed) body lift will help with clearance.

Rover V8 is not gutless, its just that it has to move 2 tonnes or more. Put it in a 900kg sports car and see how it goes, eg, Triumph TR8 or a Westfield.

I don't care how much kw it has so long as it sounds good, can pull my disco up the sides of mountains and through mud holes and back down the mountains. High kw engines don't produce enough torque at low revs so why would some one who tours this beautiful country want big power. If I wanted big power I'd buy a corvette or old Chevy and hand my license in to the local constabulary cause I wouldn't keep it long
