Just got home after picking up the dozer from the exhaust shop... OMG it sounds like a V8 now. No leaking no restrictive sounding exhaust note just a crisp clean sounding V8 going about its buisiness and I LOVE IT. Next improvement Extractors...coming earlier 2012
What muffler did they put in the center. I have extractors and cut the rear muffler off but still not the nice note. I want to replace the center muffler with something. Is it loud or just the nice note.
Been reading this thread with interest, work's been quietening down a bit lately so been doing a few things on my disco 3.9 last have been put off all yet, including the rusted muffler.
Dropped it in at Exhaust World in North Melb this morning, replacing everything back from the V, 2.25 pipe, straight through and resonator at the end. Just got it back, holy crap! Loud. Waaay loud. Great sound but much too much for a daily drive for me - early mornings and late nights living in the inner city (I like my neighbors and at the moment they like me!), and my stereo can't compete at all! The kind of sound that yells muscle, not 140kw...
Left it with them to put a tri flow in to rein it in a bit!
Must say the black pipe with a short down facing rear looks the business tho.
I don't know what brand muffler they put in mine (haven't had a chance to look yet) but its not loud to the Point of omg but its got a nice bark to it.
