Guess this once again answers the question that I asked about the 300,000 Klm Discos for sale, at 300,000 they are only just run in. As with all vehicles, regular servicing keeps them good. Wonder what it is like to take a ride in a 1,000,000 klm Disco, would there be body rattles ????

That's an interesting point I wonder how the ride would be in a million km 300Tdi...presumably lovely if they've kept the engine well enough to get up to there surely they've given the rest of the car the same courtesy

My 300 Tdi (formerly owned by two other forum members) has not quite clicked over the 180k/km mark so by the sounds of it I've got a lot of great driving to look forward to...*touch wood*

Our D1 gets treated to rubbers and shockers at the first sign of trouble from them. ' Daisy ' the D1 is on the way back from the moon, 520,000 and counting.

The roof lining is next on the list to renovate, other than that, the interior isn't in too bad a nick.

Wow, A credit to the respective owners.
Portraits in the dictionary under ' Sympathy, Mechanical'!

The nitty gritty, though. Grandads axes?!
    Could you please specify:

    1. Service schedules
    2. Engine work
    3. Head work
    4. Gearbox work
    5. Major driveline components

    Then we'll have accurate comparisons!
    Cheers, Dave.
