TM2 Engine Watchdog sensor placement
Hi guys,
I've just purchased a TM2 Engine watchdog for my 300Tdi Disco 1.
Would like some advise on the best location to mount the engine temperature sensor. I can't seem to find any convenient bolt to attach it to.
Cheers
Geoff

I found a threaded hole just underneath the thermostat housing on the front of the head. Then the next trick was to find a threaded bolt to fit. My local mechanic had heaps to try so that wasn't a problem.
Some suggest that the front of the head is a poor location because of air circulation at speed etc affecting the reading. Not the case. It's absolutely fine, and the unit is immediately responsive to changes in conditions such as going up/down inclines.
Cheers OMV

TM2 now successfully installed! Thanks OMV.
For future reference, the size of the spare threaded bolt hole on the front of the head, next to the thermostat housing, is an M8.
