    Rear sway bar bracket broke

Hi all.Has anyone who has fitted a 2" to 3" lift ever had the chassis mount for the rear sway bar break at the weld to the chassis.Since fitting 2" extra heavy duty Dobinsons coils I have noticed the sway bar bushes being stressed and now the bracket has broken away from the chassis.I know most people with lifts disconnect the sway bar but I live in a very hilly and windy area where a little less body roll is quite nice.I have to take it off now due to the breakage but would like to re fit it soon. Are there any options other than cutting off the other side and moving the mounts.
    Regards
    Shane

You could make up some spacers to lower the bar mounts a bit, say some 50 x 25mm RHS or similar.

Since you have upgraded the suspension it will probably ride better than standard without it. While it's off see how it feels. It will give you better performance off road with it off.
    Cheers, David.
