Maybe the window ecu, dry solder joints, what year is the disco, Rave shows it in the electrical section behind glove box.
Do a search, plenty of info.
usually the rear is effected . But you say yours is a pre update, so no glovebox???

According to the 91 Disco paper WSM - window lift relays are in the drivers side footwell. Front relay sits on a natural (?) colour connector block, rear relay is on a yellow connector block. C1 fuse is front, C2 is rear. they get unswitched power straight from the battery, and the relays are energised by the ignition key being turned on.
Brown to the fuses.
White/pink stripe from the fuse to the relay
White/orange stripe from ignition to the relay
White/pink stripe from relay to switches
Grey (slate) with various stripes from switch to motors.
Don't forget the rear doors window disable switch.
Here's the diagram
your a champion langy just what i needed.cant hear any of the relays clicking and no power to the switches at all.i suspect a problem with the wiring from the key as i renewed the harness not long ago, will have to wait till next weekend now.
itsnotworthcomplaining, thanks it is a 93,no glovebox and no window ecu.cheers
