    Maybe torque convertor ?

I just parked on a fairly level piece of ground put it in drive and released the brake and it moved about a foot and just stopped ? Put it in reverse and released the brake and it moved backwards smoothly .
Would this be an indication of a bad torque convertor ? The fluid is very pale pink in color but the level is ok with the engine running in neutral.
Could a change of fluid and some lucas additive help out ?
Any advice would be good as I don't have a clue about auto transmission's

    Thanks

On the dipstick ... Tranny fluid colour is clear to pale pink when in good nick
A Muddy brown colour would indicate that it is well past it's use-by date

YEP ..... Considering the cost of replacing 1 of these units, Your shagging with the kickdown and if you set them too high or too low, then you can easily stuff up the box ..... Don't touch it .... Take it to a Auto trans joint to adjust it

BTW ... If you get it serviced, Some shops show you the junk / metal that they found in the pan 2 you ..... and then make you concerned & ask if you want a reco before it blows .... Just ignore it, a lot of it is creative value adding

    Cheers
    Mike
