    Hi Abe,
I came across this vid on youtube that covers most of it [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zPnjE3neoM]How to: Rotate fuel pin (cone) diaghram on your 89-93 Dodge cummins VE pump! More power! - YouTube[/ame]

When I did mine a couple of years ago I did the star wheel adjustment and diaphragm only at first and noticed a big improvement. I think I then did the 'smoke screw' as well but ended up backing this off from memory. I may have some more details written down and will check tonight.
Have you fitted an EGT? you really should if you are going to be playing with the pump settings as its not difficult to hit 700c + at the turbo with a tweaked pump when going uphill or soft sand etc.
    Cheers
    Mark

ThermoGuard Instruments is a good place to start.

Heres another link I had bookmarked from when I did mine.

Turning up the pre 94 Ram diesel injector pump

So there are 4 adjustments in total that can be made to increase power.

    1. Full load fuel delivery rate - Twisting the diaphragm 90 degree's

    2. AFC Star wheel adjustment - increased fuel delivery by less spring resistance

    3. Smoke screw - Increasing low manifold pressure fuel delivery

    4. Full power adjustment - concealed screw adjustment on back of pump - remove anti-tamper cap.

I did the first 3 and it made a big difference, the last one I did not do but it is also said to make 'real gains'

If anyone has done No.4 i'd be interested to know if any improvements without things going Bang! ; )
