I find the little graphite puffers very effective , but it is dirty stuff so wear gloes and have a rag handy.

you can also make up a catch can for it...

grab your vacuum cleaner and a large mouth plastic 2 or 4l drink bottle (the cheapy OJ or milk bottle. Cut the bottom of at about a 45 degree angle and then masking tape that to the hose of your vacuum cleaner. with the vacuum cleaner running hold it under the ignition barrel with the longest edge at the bottom and touching the column housing then press the nozzle up to the key hole and give it a puff. If you have one of the ignition barrels that has a flap OR the annoying ball in it you'll also need a pry tool.

    Make one as follows.

Grab a coat hanger, cut about a 6 inch long piece off of it hammer one end of it flat (I normally make them up by hammering it onto the towball of the car) Trim the end into a point and bend it over about a centimeter from the end. Poke that into the ignition barrel so it moves the gate or ball out of the way and then tape it (electrical tape works well enough and if not left on for a prolonged period doesnt mark the trim) then squirt the graphite down the key hole (or the pfte if thats what you get)

Darlin if I didn't laugh I'd be bawling me bloody eyes out about it. For the last few weeks it's been running between 24 - 28L/100km

Nearly sent me broke (especially while I'm not working!!).

I learned to catch buses alot recently!!
