I agree with u totally Blitz. One of the first mods i did to my disco was new suspension all round. I didn't really consider all the weight that was going to be put on my truck over the next couple of years so i chose soft springs from Old Man Emu. Well, after adding drawer systems, rear bar and swing away wheel carrier, roof racks, and all the gear loaded up for touring, offroad it was bloody useless in the back end! Way to soft, would bottom out on my (extended) bump stops on the slightest bit of rough track, i put up with it for a while and then finally decided to get some constant load 300kg tough dog springs. So much better! Not harsh at all and now i can go weekend camping with all the gear and not be scared to death when the tracks start getting a little bit off camber!
Highly reccomend you consider medium or hard rated springs if you plan on loading up your disco, Discos also seem to have a high centre of gravity and dont mind a bit of bodyroll! Can be quite daunting when theres a big drop on one side of the track! I thought they would be harsh riding but now i can confidently say i would never have anything else!
i also run Old Man Emu nitro charger shocks and they've been great no probs whatsoever!
