Wheel on Window regulator arm broken

    Hi All,
I have a 1997 Discovery with electric windows, on the back left door the window refuses to stay up.
I have pulled off the interior trim and found that the wheel on the end of the regulator arm has broken in two, that's the wheel that goes in the slide on the bottom of the window.
Can you buy just the plastic wheel or do you have to get a new mechanism and if so who do you recommend to get one off?
    Thanks heaps,
    Lee

Do a search. The topic was covered a week or so back.

Thanks Ron, I found it in the Good Oil, I originally did a search before posting, however I only searched D1 and the thread was in D2.

    Thanks again,

I usually don't limit my searches to one area. I let them roam the whole site.

The bad news is that a new regulator will not last much longer, because the standard wheels are not up to the job.

If you have access to a lathe, metal wheels and new rivets are the best way to go,

    Hi Foxspell,

I have just fixed my rear right regulator following this thread...

    http://www.aulro.com/afvb/projects-t...ir-waynep.html

The roll track roller is still available from Bunnings for about $4.00.

It is a very easy job, the most difficult part is slightly spreading the original channel for the new roller.

    Cheers

    Steve
