I'd be interested in seeing how you mounted these.

Ha I saw a red V8 disco up in Kew today and I've seen it before, all jacked up kitted out for trips the thing looks pretty mean! Also walked past and was checking it out and noticed it too had those bonnet catches on it...doesn't sound like a bad idea for piece of mine.

PS. Cool looking rig if that's a forum member...and even if it's not I guess.

    Here goes..................

If you forget to lock it you'll see these tabs easily from inside.

    Retainer.

Nut used to extend the retainer pin.

The most difficult bit was working out where to put the pins. Same place on each side of the rad. Once the pins were in, I put Blu Tack on the inside of the bonnet and closed it gentley. The imprint gave me the centre of the pin, drilled it through then lined up the cutting template and cut/mounted the catches.

Given that I've worked out the fixing location of the pins, it should take a couple of hours.

Safe, secure and you never have to dive under the dash to get to the release and skin your knuckles ever again!!
