To the best of my knowledge, there isn't anyone who really specialises in making LR 300tdi custom exhausts - it's mostly been reports by people who have had custom work done at various locations.
300Tdi pipe is metric, 60mm dia - in Australia, the common pipe size is still US/Imperial at 2 1/4inch. (57mm) and 2 1/2inch ( 63mm) . From there on I think you can get 3 inch, but I imagine some modifications to the exhaust manifold are necessary.
As you've read before, the simplest modification is to remove the center muffler completely and use the rear resonator only. A piece of 2 1/2inch pipe works well for this.
I, and others, have had good results in replacing the stock exhaust from the flex joint backwards with 2 1/2 inch pipe either with no center and the LR resonator at the rear or a sports muffler in the center and no rear.
Others have started with bigger pipe right at the turbo dump and have reported decent gains ( combined with other tweaks).
Stay away from the big names - Midas especially.
Otherwise your local exhaust should be able to make up what you want.
A tip: Stay with the LR practice of having the exhaust in 3 sections. ( ie flanges bolted together). It's a lot easier to unbend a section if you damage it off road - you can take it apart.

Hi,
As lsngy said I have actually removed both mufflers & replaced with 2.5. inch pipe. aAbit loader outside & not much louder inside. The optimum sze is what the dump pipe size is as the exhaust will not be restricted. Anything bigger will just make more noise.
