    Cracked pillar in front of rear wheel arches - D1

    I noticed this on my project 200tdi disco yesterday...


    How common is this problem, and is it serious?

    Has anyone come across this on their disco before?

    My Disco has similar cracks in the same place, but much much smaller.

    Its worth checking out the body mounts at the sills in roughly the same spot. The welds on the little outrigger with the body mount on it tend to peel away from the sill.

    Can't say for certain if this is related/is the cause of the cracks in the body, but I welded the bottom edge of the outrigger back to the sill on mine and the cracks in the body have stayed small!
