    Timing jumping

    Im not great with electrical stuff ,my ignition timing jumps between 10 and 13 .Do i have a streched timing belt ? 94 v8 disco

    No Timing belts on the V8, BUT they do stretch/ wear chains. How many Km's?

    and the vacuum advance bellows jigger falls off the distributor, maybe yours is loose.

    Thanks fellows , chuck has 294 kms . I'll check in the morn but i dont think anything is loose . Sorry about the typo , yes its a timing chain ,not my fault though must be the scotch

    i would be looking hard at the timing chain,if the chain is even a little loose the cam lobes will cause the cam to advance and retard on every lobe causing the timing to jump,also check the dizzy shaft bush but probably the chain
