Offerings of praise to Triumph Rover Spares for really looking after me!
G'day All,
I have an unregistered 300 Tdi Auto D1 in my back yard, & it is on it's well on it's way to being resurrected. I am a diesel fitter by trade and I am doing 4 weeks on, 1 week off on a civil construction job up in the Pilbara. I haven't been home much over the past few months, & the rego lapsed.
The poor old girl is looking a bit tired, & I felt sorry for her. I will never part with her, as she has taken me across the Nullabor 4 times, & I have become a bit attached to her. I have never felt this way about cars before either. There is something special about Land Rovers, & with some of the places that we have been to together, I would be gutted to lose her. I am Sydney based, & I went out as a passenger on a 4WD trip with my mates that I went to school with, out the back of Newnes. I got plenty of flack from my mates, & they offered the sort of encouragement that only old mates of long standing could provide.
I came across Triumph Rover Spares in Adelaide after trawling through the internet, & I am over the moon at the help that they gave me. In addition, I found them to be great company to chat with, & my phone calls to them were a real pleasure. My Disco is stock at the moment, but I got a Millford Cargo Barrier, & a Safari Snorkel. I went to ARB in Penrith & placed an order for a winch bulbar, only to find out that it would be late June delivery if I was lucky. I got back in contact with TRS, & they provided me with an ARB winch bar, & a 9,000 pound Warn winch of a wreck in smick condition. I have just arrived back home from a family Easter trip down the South Coast, & I have a love letter from TNT Express saying that my parts are ready for collection. Thanks heaps to TRS for helping me get my project underway, I will come back again for more.

Hi DieselD1,
TRS have helped me out on many occasions with both parts and advice. Good people to deal with, always willing to go that extra bit. Your story doesn't come as much of a surprise.

On our way from Qld to Perth we went to TRS and asked them to check the front weel bearings of the D1. We turned up at the nominated time and they loaned us a car for the day. Wheel bearings appeared to only just need a bit of adjustment. Also I once ordered 5 Triumph Stag wheels and they arrived faster to Gladstone than I could get anything from Brisbane. I too say thanks and compliment them.

I just wish I could buy shares in the company.. Have nothing but praise for them, Have purchased 2 cars from them including the D3,
Have only let me down 1 time by sending only half the parts I needed, but they well and truely made up for it since.
Shame there are not more of them around, especially in Darwin..
Cheers Ean
