Did yours come from the UK?
That one comes complete with instructions & photo of what you should be looking for.
Once you know you will remember.
I have the spring, but still haven't got it fixed. Might try again this weekend. Can't find where to put it. Obviously need to try harder...

Mine didn't have instructions, but i am really mechanical, and had already worked it out before i even pulled it out of the car, there is basically a pivoting arm that is attached to the lock mechanism, there is a toggle spring (the one that snaps and needs replacing) that holds this in the in or out position, when it's in the in position it lifts the latch in the door (open), then its out it slides past when the handle is pulled, leaving the door locked essentially, it looks like a little L (upside down) with a hole in it, and the linkage attaches to this, further down the L there is a smaller hole, now listen to this bit, you ahve to put the spring in the lever (pivot arm) first, then you have to open the arm up (locked position), and get a smalle pair of pointy pliers and jamb the spring in there (carefully LOL), then use a few flathead screwdrivers to push it into the hole, took a few goes, but you'll work it out, i should have taken some photo's but i never do, and always regret it later, ohwell life goes on, also don't forget where all the leavers and clips go, i ahd mine off for a momnth and the lever on the door lock (key barrel) was still on there as it is up inside and kinda hidden,b ut one of my imbecile mates in a drunken state who was sitting in the back decided to reach in there and he pulled it out, took a while to work out where it went as i ahd a male look so i got a diagram off of rave and it went in fine.
Cheers
Will
