    Disco offroad vehicle info

    Hi guys !

I'm just looking for some general information on disco suspension set up ad tyre sizes for those set ups .

    I just bought a manual v8 disco stock as a rock .

I'm thinking of going 2" lifted dobinson springs + dobinson or EFS 2" extended shock absorbers .

Will this allow enough room to run 265/75-16 tyres on 16x8 -25 rims ?
I work at a Mickey thompson dealer so I'm hoping to get Mickey T MTZ's for it .

Help / information on what I should do would be greatly appreciated !

    Cheers
    Ash

    Hi Ash

This very subject gets covered day in day out and is usually asked about once a week if you go to the search function and punch in a few key words you should be able to answer your questions.

Also take a look at the show us your disco/mods etc which is stuck at the top of this section if you see someones set up there running what you want or similar you could always ask these members direct certain questions
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

    Hey Ash,

Dullbird is right, there are plenty of threads and info on here about suspension and tyre set ups but seeing as its your first post, we can cut you some slack. Plus I'm an old Ipswich boy so I'll help you here

Yes, you can run 265's with a -25mm offset rim but you will need to add flares to your guards. the flares open the wheel arch up substantially to allow the larger diameter tyres plus cover the wider offset rim it's cheaper to get them directly from the UK, google up flatdog spares in the UK, I've found them the cheapest so far.

Combined with a 2 inch lift, the tyres will clear the guards off road, you don't need to go higher with the 265's.

    Cheers
