I have a white 1992, 2 door V8. It has 175,000 on the clock, One previous owner with all original books and records, it even has its removable centre console/sadle bag!
I've spent about about 2k on it since I bought it earlier this year as the bearings and brakes needed replacing.

    '95 TDI Disco with 151,000.

Didn't realise when I purchased it that it had a small leak in a radiator hose, so before I got around to doing any servicing/checking it overheated. Now it has a new head gasket.

Why on earth have you had to do 3 timing belts?

1st one was done at 35k as the timing cover was removed while looking for a knocking noise that ended up being the drive plate but surprisingly sounded like the noise was coming from the front of the motor.
Second one I did after another 40k just to be safe as it was 7 years old. And the last one not so long ago after the outer edge of the belt frayed and I could see the damage through the wading plug hole with a small globe.

Ive got one of these but have never thought to check my timing belt with it.

I use it to check the insides of my bikes. Remove spark plug and drop it down the hole. Great for checking piston tops and bores with out taking exhaust pipes off.
