    Split vacuum hose

For the last week, I have been hearing a leaking air type sound coming from the motor and have finally found it.

It is coming from a vacuum hose (see pic), when I replaced it the engine seemed to run smoother.

Can anyone explain what it purpose is.

    Regards

Well that hose is for the fuel pressure regulator that you see the hose connected to. Fuel pressure is held at a constant pressure above manifold vacuum, keeps the spray pattern at optimum.

Just got a couple of new tyres for the front, so got a wheel alignment done as well and now find that the steering wheel is not straight and I find it bloody annoying.

Before it used to sit at 1/4 to 3 now it sits at 10 to 3, (does that make sense to anyone, because I'm not sure it does to me and I wrote it).

I'm sure I have never had this problem before after getting an allignment.

    Regards

Take it back and ask them to do it right Ollie. I do my LR with string between the wheels but I have had to ask to have my corolla re-done for that reason. The "mechanic" tried to tell me that he couldn't change it without removing the steering wheel and you know what a problem that could be with airbags and all!
