Exclamation Yet again Alpine window rust! :(

Hi all, hoping someone may be able to help me out.
My poor discovery is suffering from cancer to the alpines.
I really want to fix the problem properly, unfortunately i can not weld.
I am living in the city (sydney) and travel out to the hawkesbury regularly so if anyone knows of or can recommend a rust specialist or good welder in the area who has experience fixing these dreaded windows. (not to expensive please)
I hope to remove the rust myself to save a bit of money on labour and then just have them completely welded in (windows no more, has anyone done or seen this)

    Thanks yann

There's Nathans at Annangrove who have done a few Discos in the past but I would speak to Caldwells at Condell Park. They're Land Rover repair gurus.

Would love to know about this, just poked a hole through the corner of one of my alpines. All I was trying to do was replace the seals and clean a bit of rust up!

Would be a shame to weld up the alpine windows. Why not just fix and refit - will take at least another 15 years before it rears its head again....
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

If the repairs are done properly & the window rubbers sealed fully, then the problem will be fixed for good.

The cause of this is water getting between the seal & body but not being able to drain away. If the water can't get in there, it can't rust.
