Noise what noise ?
What noise?
I have two V8's in the collection, the first V8 is in a burnt out EFI Discovery, got the bits to try it when I run out of things to do.
The last one is in a tidy 1984 Range Rover that needs a 727 autobox to put it back on the road.
As neither are running at the moment they don't make any noise at all.

Hahaha....you're right, they have to run to make a noise!
But when they do....
Head will probably win over heart and I'll end up with a diesel....but damn the V8s sound good!

Keep an eye out for a V8 with lpg already fitted and you will have your economy and that beautiful rover rumble that puts a smile on your dial.

Disco 1 tdi
Hi I own a 96tdi and have been extremely happy with it.
Towing it goes just as fast with a load as it does with out.
I owned a 2.8 hilux before hand so this thing is a speed demo compared to it.
You can listen to all the stories of them broken down all over the place talk to someone who owns one they will tell you for real.
There is one thing you should know alternators are prone to go if there is no heat shield between it and the turbo they can be bought for about 30 dollars and saves you 350 plus for one I have a 100 amp on mine so cant fit the heat shield so I am giving it 2 to 3 years before it fails.
I have had my disco over 4 years now and am now doing the head gasket which is not too bad for a car 260000 kms plus but I am going to do pistons as well. apart from that that is the only problem I have had mechanically minus the squeeky serpentine belt if you get a cheaper brand.
PM me if you want to know any more.
Thanks Ralph.

Cheers guys.
Don't think I'll be getting the three door V8...no gas on it and too dear to fit it.
I'm still keen on the idea of an Isuzu County as an option too....or the ultimate would be a turbo Isuzu in an RRC......
