    Question Help required! 93 3.5V8

Hi all posting this for a mate, who owns a 93 D1 with a 3.5Lv8

It's running on both petrol and gas, the problem is that the engine will randomly cut off for 3 or 4 seconds while driving then switch back on, if he takes his foot of the gas it stall when slowing down, if he stops he has to have the brake and gas applied to keep the revs up. He only has this problem after the engine has cut out while driving, this usually happens randomly at any speed.

He has had the gas serviced, all new fuel pumps filters and lines, new ignition barrel, switch and coil and new battery however the problem still remains.

Would anyone be able to help with this or recommend a good auto elec in darwin?

also worthwhile checking the lpg system wiring very carefully. the gas controller switches the injectors off when on gas, so there is an interface somewhere in the loom to achieve this. IME some of these issues can be directly traced to where someone has modified or 'butchered' a wiring harness....

also check the ecu plug, i have seen pins backed out on them, even 1 where it was loose on the ecu because someone broke the retaining clip ( it is only a plastic tag really) and the whole plug was moving around.

i'm not saying the tps isn't it, but there are other areas to check, too.
