You should get at least 240km out of 60 litres of gas, up to 300km if your system is well tuned and set up and you are travelling at 90 to 100km/h without a head wind.
Hi all getting conflicting opinions about d1 on vapor gas. What are you guys getting out of a tank.
Cheers Matt

There are many varables that come into people consumption, Mods, Tyres Size, driving style etc. On 31" tyres I was getting around 170km out of the scuba tanks (55-60l). The best I got was 220Km on standard tyres on the Hwy loaded with camping gear. I wont say what I got when running 33" tyres, off roading and camper trailer as I don't want to scare you.
Cheers, David.

From rapidly fading memory... in a 3.5 Classic (Cam tweaked for towing) and towing a 1 tonne sweeper, I dimly recall around 3 to 3.5 km per litre. on LPG. Petrol was rarely used... but that was about 4km/litre. Certainly no more!
The silver lining was the (some years ago) differance in price per litre.
Pirelli Scorpion tyres, normal size...
My old 2dr rangie running a basic impco system and 350 holley would do 350klms per 70 ltrs lpg city driving and highway best of 420klms.
This was a 3.5 with 4spd manual on 31" tyres.

You were doing well,,, (5 and 6 km/litre ) that's 13 and 16 mpg respectively. Very Respectable...
My 3.9 petrol, LUCAS injected averages around 5 to 5.3 km/litre. 14 to15 mpg.
Or around $30 per 100 km at $1.49 / litre 91 ULP.
Whatever, your Right Foot is very important in the equation...![]()
I adjust the volume screw out a full turn when I am towing the car trailer and wind it back a full turn when not towing. With no trailer I can get 300km to a 60l tank, using cruise control on the flat sections of road. On the hills I let it slow down a bit, but only if there is no one behind.
I can't comment on vapour injection but a basic Impco venturi system has me with a fairly consistent 20L/100km. That remains fairly constant be it around town or hwy and this is a 3.9 with the added aero of a snorkle and bar.
Hi Matt my disco does approx 320-350ks on 70 litres of gas and around 400ks at 100kmph on a run. Make sure your timing is set up well it makes a huge difference (10 degrees btdc from memory) plenty of theads about this. Also bee-ute's ignition mod is a good investment also lots of info on the search as well. Hope this helps.
I'm running an average of 21l/100km (+/- 0.1L), not that different to how it was before rebuilding the engine. I do drive it harder these days though.
