    my two cents

Hi. I have had a similar problem with the same symptoms not a week ago. Clicking of relays going nuts, etc...
Everything had been ok so far but for the occasional misfire when cold. I had just stopped in a parking lot, went to get some stuff and my car would not restart. Dashlights were on but dimmed on turning the key. I had low beam lights although quite weak but no high beams, no blinkers and starter motor would not run.
So took the multimeter, checked the battery. There was 12,75 volts in there, but on looking for earth on the body, voltage dropped to less than 10 volts. Thought it could be a short or an earth strap undone somewhere, but all fuses were ok and cabling at first glance looked ok. Took the meter to the ignition key barrel and it turned out there was only about 6 volts coming in.
After leaving the car overnight, i had already called road assist and was reconnecting the battery while waiting for the mechanic. I had scratched the terminal with my pliers and it turns out that this tiny bit of bare scratched metal was enough to get enough current to start the car. I was staggered.
Turns out that my terminals and cable were so badly oxydised it was eating almost half the voltage available. After sanding and filing back to shiny metal and reconnecting, my v8 is running smoother than ever, more grunt, smooth idle and cruise and no more misfires even in the freezing morning.
I am sure you have made all those checks already, but for anyone reading this, if those symptoms occur it is worth checking this and give both terminals and cables a little sanding even if they look clean.
What i thought was going to be a long fault finding process was the simple build up of oxydation up the point of wasting so much voltage.

Goddamn! It runs! Can't thank everyone enough for the help, just chiding me on really! Turned the dizzy 180 degrees and no hesitation,,,fired up on the first rotation! Very noisy injectors though, maybe just a Landy thing! Once again thanks all.

Well, the latest challenge is,,,, steam coming from the rocker cover breather, not a great amount but noticeable. I'm hoping it's settling in from an unknown engine, hoping it's NOT inlet man gasket or worse, head gasket. I'll do some extensive wet and dry comp tests tomorrow.
    Cheers.
