    thanks heaps for all your info. as the disco is in heathcote im sending it to Romsey landrover, they are going to have a look at it for me. ill either get another one and marry, or they can fix it for cheaper.

    head mech isnt back till next week so ill find out about it in a couple of weeks and should be back on the road in under a month.... i hope!!!!!!

    ill keep you posted on the progress and the work. they are landy pro's apparently...

    I think he was talking about mating 2 discovery ones, ie finding a donor vehicle which is another disco 1, I don't think he meant using a Discovery 2 as a stud and breeding one disco out of it

    Yep from the photo it all looks bolt on and off get an old v8 and get the body and suspension/steering changed over. And if you try it your self its probably not that hard 2 maybe 3 days easy work

    She's coming home

    Soooo, after a long agonising wait, and near death of the whole project. I've been saved.

    She will be back on the road in a week or so! Stronger than ever. Minus a snorkel for the moment, but will give her a nose job asap as well as a couple more little things to make it all worth while.

    Will post pics when she's back.

    Tent... Check. Jerry cans... Check. Chilli bin...check.
